FMC has been providing products for the control of Diabrotica sp. on maize for over 30 years. During that time numerous compounds, application techniques and formulations have been researched in an effort to improve corn rootworm control. In addition other factors affecting compound performance, such as, insecticide resistance and accelerated microbial degradation have been encountered and addressed. These experiences will be reviewed and several tactics for long term Diabrotica control will be discussed.
